Your symptom history — persistent pain despite conservative care or PT — puts you in the group most likely to benefit from targeted injection therapy before considering surgical options.

Injection options for knee
Most patients notice improvement within 1–4 weeks depending on injection type.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

Concentrated growth factors from your own blood injected into the joint to reduce inflammation and support tissue repair. Best evidence in knee osteoarthritis and patellar tendinopathy.

Corticosteroid injection

Fast-acting anti-inflammatory relief, typically effective within 48–72 hours. Useful for bursitis, synovitis, and acute flares. Duration: 6–12 weeks.

Hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation)

Lubricating injection for knee osteoarthritis. Effects build over 3–5 weeks and can last 6+ months in appropriate candidates.
